Abstract
Today, flexible mechanisms (flexures) are increasingly used and have replaced traditional mechanisms in many equipment. These mechanisms have different types and their behavior is much more complicated than traditional mechanisms. The use of flexible micro-mechanisms is the only option for making mechanisms in micro dimensions. All flexible mechanisms are composed of flexible elements. One of the most widely used micro-flexures is the micro-parallelogram (DP). This element consists of two parallelogram flexure (P) which are connected in series. In this research, with the help of modified strain gradient beam constraint model (MSGBCM), which is a powerful tool for analyzing flexible micro-mechanisms, the stability behavior of double-parallelogram flexure is investigated. Formation of differential equations of motion, linearization and investigation of dynamic stability range considering the effect of small scale effect and non-linear displacement are other activities carried out in this research. The results show that the range of dynamic stability of the double-parallelogram element in compression forces is very small.
