Abstract
Increasing noise pollution and the need for alternative vehicles to internal combustion vehicles have made electric vehicles an important topic of research. In this article, the noise and vibration caused by the electromagnetic force in the permanent magnet electric motor (PMSM) has been investigated. At first, the types of noise created in the engine and some of their reasons have been discussed. One of the causes of noise in the engine is the electromagnetic force that causes the engine to rotate, and this force is not completely harmonic and creates torque and stimulates the frequencies of the engine shell, and these vibrations introduced by the engine structure are heard in the form of vibro-acoustic noise. The noise and vibration of the motor structure due to electromagnetic excitation has been investigated by performing noise, vibration and comfort (NVH) analysis, and the amount of noise obtained in the motor structure has been determined by different graphs. With the help of the obtained results, it is possible to determine the level of noise caused by vibration at different frequencies and engine speeds, as well as the resonance or resonances occurring in the engine. Studying and investigating this type of noise helps to reduce the noise in the structure and the comfort of the passengers.
