Abstract
In this research, the free vibrations of axial compressor blades with inclined root have been analyzed. For this purpose, the geometrical dimensions of the blade and its root were studied first. After that, using modeling and stress and modal analysis in ANSYS software, the effect of vibrations on it was investigated. According to the investigations and numerical analysis, it was observed that the wear fatigue causes the failure of the blade, which occurred due to the increase in stress and the approaching of the natural frequency of the blade to the critical speed of the rotor at the connection point of the blade to the disk. To perform analyzes and modeling, three boundary conditions of loose state, inclined state and appropriate interference state were used to model the closest state to the real model. Among these three assumed conditions, the inclined state boundary condition has the most effect on the increase of vibration and as a result wear fatigue and vane failure.
